Haribo Recalls Sweets in the Netherlands After Cannabis Detected

Haribo has issued a recall in the Netherlands after three 1-kg packs of Haribo Happy Cola F! ZZ with a best before date of January 2026 were found to contain cannabis.

The renowned confectionery brand Haribo is facing a food safety incident in the Netherlands. 

Three 1-kg packs of Haribo Happy Cola F! ZZ, with a best before date of January 2026, were found to contain cannabis.

According to the safety alert issued by the Netherlands Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority (NVWA), three contaminated packs have been identified so far, but Haribo is recalling its entire stock of the affected product as a precaution. The NVWA has urged consumers not to consume the sweets, which may cause health issues such as dizziness. Several consumers, including children, have reported feeling unwell after eating the products.

The cause of the contamination is currently under investigation by authorities.
