From January to February 2025, China imported a total of 481,900 tons of dairy products, marking a year on year (YoY) increase of 9.3%, with the total import value reaching USD 2.06 billion, up 19.1% YoY. 3. In Shaanxi, a major goat milk production hub in China, raw goat milk prices have surged since early spring, driving up the ex-factory prices of goat milk powder. Industry insiders cite two key factors behind the price hike: (1) increased demand from goat milk powder manufacturers following the implementation of new GB standards for milk powder and modified milk powder, and (2) a supply-side contraction in 2024 due to earlier market downturns, which led to reduced inventories of goat milk powder.

4. China’s Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, National Health Commission, and Ministry of Industry and Information Technology jointly released the Food and Nutrition Development Guidelines (2025–2030). This policy direction supports the innovation and development of health and functional foods, including those focused on weight management.

5. Despite rising prices of raw coconuts, retail prices for coconut water products have declined. On the other hand, fresh food e-commerce platforms are increasingly investing in upstream raw material sourcing to reduce costs, allowing them to offer more competitively priced, platform-branded coconut water products.
