On December 10, 2025, South Korea Ministry of Food and Drug Safety notified the WTO of proposed amendments to the Special Act on Imported Food Safety Control. Comments may be submitted until February 8, 2026.

China's overseas food manufacturer registration, commonly referred to as GACC/CIFER registration, has been in force since 2022 and applies to all foreign food manufacturers exporting to China.
