On Mar. 22, 2016, the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety of Korea (MFDS) announced the revision of “Food and Health Food Traceability Management Standard”, which is formulated to further standardize the traceability system of food and health functional food in Korea.

After Korea’s new imported food management system was implemented on Feb. 4, 2016, all imported food, health functional food, and livestock products (imported beef is excluded) will be gradually included into the traceability management system.

The different logos for agricultural products, livestock, aquatic products and processed food traceability management are also unified to increase consumer awareness.
