Taiwan Amends Standards for Pesticide Residue Limits in Animal Products

The revision includes the changes of residue limits of 14 pesticides. The use of thymol in honey products is exempted from the setting of a maximum use limit.

Taiwan FDA amended Standards for Pesticide Residue Limits in Animal Products1 on Jan 27, 2021.2 The changes include the addition and revision of residue limits of 14 pesticides. They are acephate, bitertanol, cyhalothrin, dimethomorph, dinotefuran, famoxadone, fenpropathrin, fenpyroximate, fenthion, flufenoxuron, hexythiazox, penconazole, pyriproxyfen and trifloxystrobin. Besides, the use of thymol in honey products is exempted from the setting of a maximum use limit.
