Taiwan Opens 136 Food Standards to Public Feedback

Taiwan is collecting public comments to guide revision or repeal of 136 food standards including CNS 822 Canned pineapple.

On June 22, 2017, BSMI (Bureau of Standards-Metrology and Inspection) released an announcement seeking public feedback to guide revision or repeal of 136 food standards. Comments should be sent to BSMI by July 30, 2017.

These 136 food standards mainly concern the following 6 aspects:

  1. Canned food

  2. Milk powder products

  3. Determination method of dairy products

  4. Determination method of pesticide residues in food

  5. Determination method of veterinary drugs residue in food

  6. Determination method of deep ocean water
