Thailand Amends Nutrition Labeling Rules to Offer Greater Flexibility

Thailand’s Ministry of Public Health has updated GDA and Nutrition Facts labeling rules to allow more flexible color schemes, as long as contrast and legibility are ensured.

On December 18, 2025, Thailand's Ministry of Public Health (MOPH) issued two new notifications, Ministry of Public Health Notifications No. 466 and No. 467, updating the requirements for Guideline Daily Amounts (GDA) and Nutrition Facts labels. Published in the Royal Gazette on December 11, 2025, the amendments came into force on December 12, 2025, introducing greater flexibility in color schemes and providing practical exemptions for certain types of packaging.
