Thailand Consults on Revised Food Additive Regulations

On July 16, 2026, the Thai Food and Drug Administration (FDA) released a public consultation draft to revise the conditions for food additive use under the Notification of the Ministry of Public Health Re: Prescribing the Principle, Conditions, Methods and Proportion of Food Additives. The proposed revisions aim to align domestic standards with the latest international Codex Alimentarius guidelines to enhance consumer safety. Stakeholders are invited submit feedback by September 30, 2026.
