Thailand Frozen Chicken Products Granted China Import Approval

On Mar. 8, 2018, China AQSIQ updated the list of imported meat products from approved countries/regions with the addition of frozen chicken products from Thailand. It indicated that 7 registered enterprises in Thailand are allowed to export frozen chicken processed after Mar. 7, 2018 to China. 16 types of frozen chicken products are eligible, including frozen chicken breast, leg, chicken giblets and etc.

After the outbreak of avian influenza in 2004, Thailand committed itself to poultry epidemic prevention and now the quality of chicken products in Thailand is comparable to top global standards. In recent years, EU, Japan, Korea and other countries have successively lifted the ban on Thailand’s chicken products.
