Thailand’s FDA has issued a draft notification to establish the first specific quality standards for goat milk and flavored goat milk products sold in sealed containers, with comments due by January 30, 2026.
The draft defines clear product categories (goat milk, reconstituted goat milk, flavored goat milk, flavored reconstituted goat milk) and sets safety benchmarks such as minimum protein content, microbial limits, and mandatory sterilization.
On December 30, 2025, the Thai Food and Drug Administration (Thai FDA) released a draft notification proposing the first-ever quality standards for goat milk and flavored goat milk products sold in sealed containers. This regulation aims to fill existing regulatory gap by defining clear standards tailored to the unique characteristics of goat milk. Stakeholders and enterprises are invited to submit feedback on the draft before January 30, 2026.
