On 2nd of April, China Food and Drug Administration released 2017 Annual Report on Food and Drug Supervision, listing 2017 food and drug supervision data for all the Country.

It is interesting to notice that compared with 2016, fewer food and food additive production licenses were granted and a higher number of health food registrations were recorded as a consequence of the recently implemented dual track system. Compared with the previous year, a much higher number of non-compliant health food advertisements were detected and the value of fines and confiscations for food-related crimes more than doubled.
