- A detailed guidance for food safety sampling inspection has been released covering 33 categories of food products.
On Feb. 21, 2017, China CFDA released 2017 version of “Implementation Rules for National Food Safety Supervision Sampling Inspection”, which provides detailed requirements for sampling inspection of various types of food products.
Food safety sampling inspection is carried out by the government for high risk food categories every year. It is proposed in the “13th five-year national food safety scheme” that all food categories will be covered for food safety sampling inspection by 2020.
The food safety sampling inspection requirements stipulated in the new rule covers 33 food categories, which specifies the sampling method and quantity, transportation and storage of samples, as well as inspection items according to the corresponding national regulations or standards for each food category.
