China Consults on 11 New Varieties of Food Additives

The solicitation involves seven new food additives and four food additives with expanded application scope. 2′-fucosyllactose and inositol (cyclohexanehexol) are proposed to be used in milk powders for children.

On Oct. 21, 2021, China National Center for Food Safety Risk Assessment (CFSA) opened 11 new varieties of food additives for public feedback, including seven new food additives and four food additives with expanded application scope. Any comment can be sent back to zqyj@cfsa.net.cn prior to Nov. 18, 2021.
