China GACC Implements New Risk-Based Supervision for Imported Feed and Feed Additives

China’s GACC has introduced a new four-tier, risk-based classification system for imported feed and feed additives, which became effective upon promulgation.

On December 29, 2025, the General Administration of Customs of China (GACC) announced a new risk-based classification system aimed at optimizing inspection and quarantine procedures for imported feed and feed additives. This new regulation repeals the previous framework established by the former General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine (AQSIQ) in its Announcement No. 144 of 2015, and took effect upon promulgation.
