On Feb. 28, 2017, China NHFPC announced the approval of new food additive ammonium carbonate and 9 new varieties of flavorings, and the expansion of application scope of two food additives.
9 new varieties of flavorings, which are approved to be used in all varieties of foods:
- 6-Methylheptanal
- Cyclopropanecarboxylic acid (2-isopropyl-5-methyl-cyclohexyl)-amide
- 4-Hydroxy-4-methyl-5-hexenoic acid gamma lactone
- Furfuryl 2-methyl-3-furyl disulfide
- 4-Decenoic acid
- 2-(4-methyl-5-thiazolyl) ethyl propionate
- 4,5-Octanedione
- Ethyl 5-hydroxydecanoate
- Dioctyl adipate
