China NHFPC Approves New Food Additives and Flavorings

On Feb. 28, 2017, China NHFPC announced the approval of new food additive ammonium carbonate and 9 new varieties of flavorings, and the expansion of application scope of two food additives.

On Feb. 28, 2017, China NHFPC announced the approval of new food additive ammonium carbonate and 9 new varieties of flavorings, and the expansion of application scope of two food additives.

9 new varieties of flavorings, which are approved to be used in all varieties of foods:

  • 6-Methylheptanal
  • Cyclopropanecarboxylic acid (2-isopropyl-5-methyl-cyclohexyl)-amide
  • 4-Hydroxy-4-methyl-5-hexenoic acid gamma lactone
  • Furfuryl 2-methyl-3-furyl disulfide
  • 4-Decenoic acid
  • 2-(4-methyl-5-thiazolyl) ethyl propionate
  • 4,5-Octanedione
  • Ethyl 5-hydroxydecanoate
  • Dioctyl adipate
