On August 14, 2025, the Food Safety Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) released Food Safety and Standards (Labelling and Display) First Amendment Regulations, 2025. The revisions focus on the labeling requirements for coffee-chicory mixtures, which will come into force on July 1, 2026. Details are summarized below:
The amendment adds that the declarations for coffee-chicory mixture shall be displayed on front of the package, in capital letters within a rectangular box on the principal display Panel. The declarations are listed as below:
