Hainan Island and 50 Other Cities Become CBEC Pilot Cities

China has expanded its cross-border e-commerce pilot regions to 86 cities and the whole of Hainan island.

On January 17, 2020, six ministries (China Ministry of Commerce, National Development and Reform Commission, Ministry of Finance, General Administration of Customs, State Taxation Administration, State Administration for Market Regulation) jointly announced the expansion of cross-border e-commerce pilot cities to 50 more cities and the whole of Hainan Province. The announcement was published with immediate effect.
