India to Amend Food Mycotoxin Standard

Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) has proposed an amendment to the Food Safety and Standards (Contaminants, Toxins and Residues) Regulations, 2011. The amendment, namely the Food Safety and Standards (Contaminants, Toxins and Residues) (Amendment) Regulations, 2015, is open for public consultation until 7 Aug 2015.

Limits of several mycotoxins in specific food categories are revised as below:
