On Dec. 24, 2018, Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) announced amendments to Food Safety and Standards (Contaminants, toxins and Residues), 2011[1]. It mainly revised maximum residue limits of 213 pesticides in food such as 2,4-dichlorophenoxy acetic acid, acetamiprid, and alachlor. Amended regulations will come into force on the date of its publication in the Official Gazette (Jan. 8, 2018).
