India FSSAI Updates Effective Dates for Two Food Safety Regulations

India’s FSSAI updated the effective dates for two revised Food Safety regulations on imports and labelling.

On 13th of December, Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) notified the updated effective dates for 2 food safety regulations.

 Extended until the revised Food Safety and Standards (Labelling) Regulations are put into effect.

 

On June 2017, FSSAI already announced the plan to substitute the existing Food Safety and Standards (Packaging and Labelling) Regulation, 2011 with three different sets of regulations for labelling, advertisements and claims and a third on packaging. Both “Packaging” and “Advertisements and Claims” drafts for comments are available on FSSAI website.
