On May 19th, 2017, FSSAI released “Notice for operationalization of Food Safety and Standards (Fortification of Foods)”, which was effective on April 17th, 2017. The notification includes terms and definitions, general principles, standards for fortification of foods, quality assurance and etc.
Compared with the previous standard, the revised version includes standardized milk in the list of milk variants that are permitted for fortification with vitamin A and D. And here are some standards for fortification of foods:
