On Jun. 30, 2016, China NHFPC announced the approval of ten new 10 food additives and 3 nutritional fortification substances, and detailed the expanded application scope or usage of 19 food additives and 1 nutritional fortification substance upon safety evaluation.
10 new food additives:

- Glucosyl Steviol Glycosides
3 new nutritional fortification substances:
- Magnesium-L-Threonate
- Galacto-oligosaccharides (GOS)
