On July 18, 2017, Japan MHLW released an announcement detailing revisions to maximum residue limits of pesticides including imidacloprid, acetylchloride, quinclorac, and veterinary drugs such as spiramycin and tylosin. Generally speaking, the new regulations impose stricter pesticide and veterinary MRL limits, however in some instances limits have increased.
8 kinds of pesticides (see below) including imidacloprid are still subject to a transitional period of 6 months, MRLs of the other pesticides and veterinary drugs were effective since the date of announcement.
