Japan Revises the Maximum Limits of Pesticide and Veterinary Drug Residue in Food

On Mar. 26, 2021, Japan MHLW announced to revise the residue limits of 5 pesticides and 1 veterinary drug stipulated in the "Standards and Criteria for Food and Food Additives, etc. ".

Five pesticides:

Oxazosulfyl
Cartap, thiocyclam and bensultap
Fenhexamid
Prohydrojasmon
Flometoquin

Veterinary drug: Tildipirosin

The revision came into effect on the date of promulgation.

It is noteworthy that, the maximum residue limits of the substances in some food will be effective one year after the promulgation. Details are shown in the table below.
