On Jul. 14, 2020, Japan MHLW announced the amendment to "Standards and criteria for food and food additives, etc. ", which mainly revises the residue limit of 9 pesticides and veterinary drugs in food, including

Enforcement

This revision is implemented immediately as of the release date. Besides, as residue limit of gibberellin in some agricultural products is not specified, this amendment stipulates that gibberellin limit in such products should follow Article 1, food A, Section 8 of Standards and Criteria for Food and Food Additives, etc, i.e. “the amount of the substance should not exceed its natural existence in food”. This change came into effect on the date of promulgation.
