Korea to Implement Pesticide Residue Positive List

On Mar. 9, 2017, the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety of Korea (MFDS) announced that the positive list system will be fully applied to pesticide residue control of all agricultural products from Dec. 2018.

On Mar. 9, 2017, the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety of Korea (MFDS) announced that the positive list system will be fully applied to pesticide residue control of all agricultural products from Dec. 2018.

This positive list system has already been applied to tropical fruits and nuts since Dec. 31, 2016, and it will be applied to all other agricultural products from Dec. 2018. Besides the maximum pesticide residues stipulated in the corresponding product standards, the maximum limits of all other substances in agriculture products will be set as 0.01mg/kg.
