On October 4, 2024, Malaysia enacted the Trade Descriptions (Certification and Marking of Halal) (Amendment) Order 2024, modifying the “Second Schedule — Recognized Foreign Halal Certification Body” in the Trade Description Order (Certification & Marking of Halal) 2011.
Since the Second Schedule of Trade Description Order (Certification & Marking of Halal) 2011 was replaced by P.U. (A) 288/2023 - Trade Descriptions (Certification and Marking of Halal) (Amendment) Order 2023, stakeholders should refer to both P.U. (A) 288/2023 and the revisions made on October 4, 2024, for the complete list of recognized foreign halal certification bodies.
