On May 21st, 2020, China SAMR opened the draft of sampling quality test implementation rules for 131 types of products. These rules cover 20 types of food-related products in 9 categories, most of which are food contact materials, as listed below. Any comments shall be returned before May 30th. [1]

Reference Standards
Most of the test method reference standards are mandatory national standards. For example, sensory requirements and the total amount of migration, the most frequently tested items of plastic food contact material, refer to GB 4806.7-2016 National Food Safety Standard for Plastic Materials and Articles in Contact with Foodstuffs and GB 31604.8-2016 National Food Safety Standard Food Contact Materials and Articles Determination of Total Amount of Migration.
Most of the judgment reference standards are mandatory and recommended national standards. In the case of the stainless steel vacuum flask, judgment reference standards are GB 4806.7-2016, GB 4806.9-2016 National Food Standard Metal Materials and Articles for Food Contact Use, GB 4806.11-2016 National Food Safety Standard Rubber Materials and Articles in Contact with Food, and GB/T 29606-2013 Stainless Steel Vacuum Flask.
Detailed reference standards of each product are listed in its corresponding implementation rules.
Judging Principles
When all test items are tested qualified, the product is considered as qualified; when one or more items are tested unqualified, the products are considered as unqualified.
When the claimed standard of the tested product is higher than its corresponding reference standard in this rule, judgment shall be made according to its claimed standard.
When the claimed standard of the tested product is lower than its corresponding mandatory reference standard in this rule, judgment shall be made according to the mandatory reference standard.
When the claimed standard of the tested product is lower than or contains its corresponding recommended reference standard in this rule, judgment shall be made according to its claimed standard.
When the claimed standard of the product lacks items in its corresponding mandatory reference standard, judgment shall be made according to its mandatory reference standard.
When the claimed standard of the product lacks items in its corresponding recommended reference standard, this test item doesn't affect judgment.
