South Korea Partially Revised Food Additive Regulation

On Sep. 28, Korea Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS) released notification No.2018-71, announcing the partial amendment of the Food Additive Regulation. Major changes are:

Stipulate new specifications for three additives

Clarify color changes of indicator in quantitative method

Remove unnecessary content of method of testing Escherichia coli in hyaluronic acid

Revise test methods

Change indicator and diction of test methods for more accurate analysis of food additives.
