On April 13, 2026, South Korea Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS) announced amendment to the Health Functional Food Code. The regulatory update primarily expands the permissible functional claims for Chitooligosaccharides, and also introduces revisions to the testing methods for various vitamins and probiotics.
