On November 18, 2024, the TFDA finalized amendments to two regulations, effective immediately upon promulgation. The finalized version aligns with the proposed amendments, except for the MRLs for Dichlofluanid. To be specific, the finalized regulation removed 12 MRLs for Dichlofluanid, retaining two for its use as a fungicide in persimmons and small berries.
On August 15, 2024, the Taiwan Food and Drug Administration (TFDA) announced draft amendments to the Appendix 1 of Article 3, Appendix 3 of Article 4, and Appendix 4 of Article 5 in the Standards for Pesticide Residue Limits in Foods, as well as the Article 3 in Standards for Pesticide Residue Limits in Animal Products. Comments on the proposed amendments can be submitted within 60 days of following announcement date.
