Thailand FDA issued an updated regulation harmonizing documentation requirements for registration of dairy, beverages, dietary supplements, royal jelly, and other sealed foods.
The scope of “minor modifications” to food labels is expanded, including changes to QR codes
On March 9, 2026, the Thailand Food and Drug Administration (FDA) published the Regulation of the Food and Drug Administration on Procedures of Food Serial Numbers (No. 2) B.E. 2569 (2026) in the Royal Gazette, which serves as revision to Regulation on Procedures of Food Serial Number B.E. 2024. This regulatory update amends previous guidelines to harmonize documentation requirements for food registration and expand the criteria for "minor modifications" to food labels. The new framework has been effective since the date of promulgation.
