Vietnam has proposed 15 new draft national standards that mainly update analytical methods for food, beverage, dietary supplement, and infant formula testing.
The drafts also align domestic microbiological and laboratory-quality procedures with international AOAC and ISO-based practices for contaminant, nutrient, and pathogen detection.
On June 1, 2026, Vietnam's Ministry of Health (MOH) released 15 draft National Standards (TCVN) for public consultation, focusing on a wide range of products including general foods, beverages, dietary supplements, and special nutritional foods like infant formula. The deadline for submitting feedback on these proposals is July 30, 2026.
