Brazil Updates Regulations for Food Supplements

Brazil’s ANVISA issued Normative Instruction No. 431 on April 2, 2026, updating the positive list of authorized constituents, use limits, health claims, and complementary labeling rules for food supplements.

On April 2, 2026, Brazil's National Health Surveillance Agency (ANVISA) published Normative Instruction No. 431, updating the regulations for food supplements. This instruction modifies Normative Instruction No. 28 of July 26, 2018, to establish new lists of authorized constituents, use limits, claims, and complementary labeling requirements for food supplements. The regulation entered into force on the date of its publication.
