On Nov. 17, 2014, CFDA appended the list of accredited health food testing agencies by adding another five institutes to the health food testing list. The latest addition brings the total number of accredited testing agencies to 51. Please click here for more information on the other 46 testing agencies.
The five new testing agencies will be responsible for the registration testing and reviewing of both domestic and imported health foods from 1st Jan. 2015. Each accredited testing agency will carry out testing for a period of 5 years. They will be responsible for substantiating functional claims and safety according to their individual approved testing capacities.

Jilin Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine
Zhejiang Academy of Medical Sciences
Shandong Medical Inspection and Safety Evaluation Center for Medical Sciences
Food and Cosmetics Inspection Center of Shannxi Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine
