China Food and Drug Administration (CFDA) amended the inspection methods of 15 functional components or marked components in health food such as Inspection Method of Allicin in Health Food on December 2, 2013. These functional components or marked components include allicin, barbaloin, salidroside, carnitine, ginsenoside, nucleotide, lovastatin, quercetin, kaempferol, isorhamnetin, isomalto-oligosaeeharides, fructo-oligosaccharide, soybean oligosaccharides, theanine, schizandrin, deoxyschizandrin, γ-schisandrin, adenosine, degree of deacetylation of chitosan, total saponins and general flavone. The period of public consultation will end on December 20, 2013.
