China CFDA Consults on Supporting Rules for Infant Formula Registration

The “Administrative Measures for Registration of Infant and Young Children Milk Powder Formula Recipes” has been released by CFDA on 8 Jun 2016, which will come into force on this Oct 1st (see CL Food News on 8 Jun 2016). To fully implement the regulation needs a series of sub rules to introduce detailed requirements. On 12 Aug, CFDA released the following two rules for public consultation:

• Items and Requirements of Aplication Materials for Registration of Infant and Young Children Milk Powder Formula Recipes (draft);
• Key Points  and Judging Principles of On-site Verification and Inspection of Registration of Infant and Young Children Milk Powder Formula Recipes (draft);
