China MARA Releases Regulations on Fermented Feed Management
Jun 15, 2026

China's new mandatory fermented feed regulation establishes a formal production licensing framework and requires independent fermentation workshops, qualified technical personnel, and microbial strain filing.
The regulation also tightens label rules by mandating specific ingredient naming, guaranteed values, strain information, and prohibiting function claims related to microbes or enzyme feed additives.
On June 11, 2026, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs (MARA) officially released the Fermented Feed Management Regulations to strengthen the quality and safety management of fermented feed products. This mandatory regulation outlines strict compliance standards for production and labeling, and it will take effect on December 1, 2026.
