China SAMR Unveils 2019 H2 Food Sampling Results

The inspection failure rate of processed grain, meat, egg, dairy, and oil products is lower than that of the average level (2.2%) in the 2019 H2 food sampling inspection campaign conducted by the Administration for Market Regulation at all levels.
As revealed by SAMR announcement issued on Jan. 23, the Administration for Market Regulation across China completed the sampling inspection of nearly 3.7 million batches of food products (including health food and food additives) during the second half-year of 2019. The inspection is based on the national food safety standards, and the overall qualification rate reached 97.8%, which increased by 0.2% compared with the same time in 2018.
