Philippines FDA Upgrades Food Registration with New eServices

The Philippines FDA replaced the old ePortal with a new eServices platform as the sole system for processed food product registration. Renewals and amendments for products previously registered through the old ePortal must now be refiled as new initial applications under the new system.

On June 5, 2026, the Philippines Food and Drug Administration (FDA) released a circular on Guidelines on the Use of Electronic Services (eServices) System for the Registration of Processed Food Products. The circular introduces a new, upgraded online platform for product registration, which will fully replace the existing Electronic Registration Portal (ePortal). This new regulation aims to streamline the application process, enhance system security, and improve regulatory efficiency. The circular will take effect 15 days after its publication in the Official Gazette or a newspaper of general circulation.
