Taiwan to Revise Food Additive Specifications

On Feb. 6, 2017, Taiwan Food and Drug Administration announced the revision of “Standards for Specification, Scope of Application and Limitation of Food Additives”, which includes the revision of the specifications of 11 food additives. The period for public consultation is 60 days from the day the announcement was made.

  • Hexadienoic acid
  • 4-hexadienoic acid, (e,e)- potassium salt
  • Calcium propionate
  • Sodium propionate
  • Propanoic acid
  • Benzoic acid
  • Sodium benzoate
  • Glycine
  • D-sorbitol
  • Sodium erythorbate
  • Gellan gum
