From Dec 4 to Dec 8, 2017, China CFDA released 2 batches of registered infant formula in China, including 76 products (18 are imported) from 15 enterprises. 4 overseas manufacturers are listed, which are Viplus from Australia, Namyang and Maeil Dairy from Korea, Lypack from Netherlands.

Currently, 110 enterprises with 795 formulae (excluding special infant formula) have won China’s approval (check all in our F-lists). Goat milk powder accounts for 19.7% of total registrations. 29 overseas manufacturers have completed the registration of 160 formulas, accounting for nearly 20% of all enterprise which have successfully completed infant formula registration in China.
During the “Coordination Conference of China Special Food” held on Dec 1st, Sun Meijun, deputy director general of CFDA, said approximately 900 infant formulae are expected to be approved by the end of 2017 which should be more than enough to meet demand prior to the implementation of the ban on all unregistered infant formula imported through general trade channels.
