Vitamin K2 (produced by fermentation) has been approved in modified milk powder intended for children, pregnant and lactating women in a NHFPC notification No.8 in 2016. This consultation is about the additional approval of Vitamin K2 produced by chemical processes.

The usage expansion of selenium-enriched yeast was opened for public comments earlier on Sep. 6, 2018, but before the deadline (Oct.5), CFSA revised its note of from “according to GB 29922-2013…” to “according to GB 29922…” in case there would be amendments to this standard in the future.
