On December 13, 2017, China CFDA released an announcement detailing requirements for production of CFDA registered formula by different manufacturers within that group.
Key terms:
Formula provider: it refers to enterprises that obtained formula registration approval
Formula user: it refers to enterprises that manufacture the formula offered by formula provider
Formula provider and formula user must be a wholly-owned subsidiaries from within the same group
Formula user must have obtained formula registration approval and production permit.
Formula user shall possess production technique and equipment that formula requires
The Group is responsible for authenticity of materials submitted. Production procedure shall comply with relevant regulations, and product labels are required to indicate name and address of actual manufacturer.
The group shall submit a report form to CFDA before manufacturing, later on CFDA would indicate this situation and publicize that report form for social supervision.
