China Releases Five Guidelines for Organic Foods Certification Sampling
Dec 17, 2020
Compared to the consultation draft released on June 24, 2020, this notice excluded medicinal plants from the sampling target and revised part of the test items and test methods of each guideline.
Seven test items that apply to infant formula sampling were changed from mandatory test items into optional ones. They are penicillin antibiotics, cephalosporins, erythromycin, florfenicol, gentamicin, lincomycin and tetracyclines antibiotics.
As revealed by the official notice issued on Dec 15, 2020, China’s Certification and Accreditation Administration (CNCA) released five trial guidelines for the certification sampling of five organic categories. They are vegetables, fruits, teas, dairy products as well as livestock and poultry products. The implementation date will be July 1, 2021.
