India to Revise Microbiological Standards for Fish and Fish Products

On Jan. 28, 2016, Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) announced the revision of Food Safety and Standards (Food Product Standards and Food Additives) Regulations, 2011 related to microbiological standards of fish and fish products, which will be open for public consultation until Mar. 28, 2016.

The scope of the new regulation will include the raw materials and finished products of fish and fish products, including the requirements on food additives and microbiological indexes, as well as the following requirements:
