As what ChemLinked has reported previously that Thai FDA permits the use of non-additive parts of Cannabis in foods, the Ministry of Public Health now released the corresponding notice, specifying the quality requirements and standards for foods that contain hemp seed.
Major content includes:
To foods that contain hemp seed, hemp seed oil or hemp seed protein, the content of THC (Tetrahydrocannabinol) and CBD (Cannabidiol) should not exceed the maximum level as specified below.
Dietary supplements containing hemp seed, hemp seed oil or hemp seed protein should be supervised under special management. In addition, dietary supplements containing hemp seed should also label “This product is prohibited for children, pregnant and lactating women; Allergy sufferers should be aware that this product contains CBD and THC”, etc.
