On January 5, 2026, the Taiwan Food and Drug Administration (TFDA) released the draft regulation "Usage Restrictions and Labeling Requirements for Inulin Produced by Fructosyltransferase as a Food Ingredient¹." The proposal establishes specific rules for the manufacturing process, quality specifications, and labeling of inulin. The draft is open for public consultation for 60 days from the date of announcement.
