Japan Rejects 83 Batches of Imported Food in November 2021

According to the latest MHLW notification, 83 batches of food products imported from 23 countries/regions were found non-compliant in November 2021. Agricultural products account for the largest proportion of the non-compliant imported food. The main reason for rejection was the violation of food and additive standards.

Imported Food Rejected by China Customs Hit Record Level: 399 Batches in November 2021

On December 20, 2021, General Administration of Customs of China (GACC) published the list of non-compliant food products in November. The number of rejected products reached 399 batches from 40 countries/regions, which hit a new record high.

China’s New Labeling Requirements for Imported Food in 2022

On April 13 2021, General Administration of Customs of China (GACC) issued the latest version of "Administrative Measures on Safety of Import and Export Food" (hereafter as the "Measures"), which will take effect on January 1, 2022.
