On January 4, 2018, China CFDA released the 35th batch of registered infant formula in China, including 37 products from 7 domestic enterprises.

Up to now, CFDA has approved 989 formulae (excluding special infant formula) from 132 enterprises (check all in our F-lists). Approximately 85% domestic manufacturers (out of estimated 108 approved domestic manufacturers) have sucesffuly registered products. 37 overseas manufacturers completed the registration of 209 formulas, accounting for nearly 21% of all enterprise which have successfully completed infant formula registration in China.
During a Round Table conference held on Dec. 31st, 2017, Ma Fuxiang, deputy director of CFDA special food registration department, said the majority of formula registration work is expected to be completed by the first half year of 2018. Formula review follows basic 3 principles, which are:
Mandatory nutrients must be contained;
Optional nutrients must be obviously indicated
Forbidden substances are prohibited
